duckfan101 Posted March 6, 2011 Report Posted March 6, 2011 I'm trying to find a hotel anywhere near Miami (within 30 minutes of MIA) from 3/17-3/19My biggest desire is a place with complimentary breakfast under $130 per night. Stars do not matter as much. Thanks for your help as I use the PRICELINE links on this website.
yellowdog Posted March 6, 2011 Report Posted March 6, 2011 Thanx for using boards PRICELINE link :) Please provide a follow-up for your prior Chicago thread (post in that thread what you decided for that stay), then reply to this thread and we'll be happy to look into the above.Allways follow-up your threads with whatever you end up doing, even if you chose to book direct, cancell your trip, etc. Yellowdog.

Also, it seems the lower star ratings are more likely to offer breakfast than the higher ones. I just got really nice breakfasts at a 2* Best Western (FLL) and a 2 1/2* Fairfield Inn (Key West), but nothing at a 3 1/2* Hilton (FLL airport). I got all three via bidding on Priceline.Romelle
yellowdog Posted March 7, 2011 Report Posted March 7, 2011 duckfan101Like noted above. You can't bid on a specific hotel when using PRICELINE. You have to be able to accept any hotel in the zone at the star rating (or higher) you select. And i would like to add that bidding for lower rated hotels in this (MIA) area isn't recommended for several reasons. If you're trying to target a specific property then HOTWIRE can often be a better option if you're successfully able to identify it based upon the star rating and amenities shown before your purchase... the trade-off is that HOTWIRE usually costs a little more than PRICELINE, so you need to decide what is most important to you for a given stay, the lowest possible price OR the ability to take an educated guess as to the property you may receive.Look for the complimentary breakfast icon on HOTWIRE.Let us know how you want to procced.Thanx for using boards PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links.Yellowdog.

I got a $70 credit for booking a cruise through them.Thanks
