King Friday Posted March 5, 2011 Report Posted March 5, 2011 Started bidding at $40 with Downtown and 4*. Free re-bid up to an accepted price of $52 in $2 increments by adding other zones (none of which have 4*).I've never done this before, and a friend told me about this forum. Specifically, he guided me to the Hotwire hotel List. He never told me to use your link, but I will in the future--sorry! I used Hotwire.com, which appears to be selling the Westin for $61 when comparing amenities to the Hotwire hotel list, to judge my starting point.I've never been to Columbus or this hotel. Does anyone know anything about the parking situation/cost? Thanks for all the useful information!Dates 3/18/11 - 3/20/11
AaronJB Posted March 5, 2011 Report Posted March 5, 2011 Congrats on your success and Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Superb deal for this Westin property! Strangely, this is one instance where I'm not seeing the parking cost on the website. Some other travel websites say it's $20.Thank you for sharing your win and please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay.
King Friday Posted March 5, 2011 Author Report Posted March 5, 2011 I just didn't use my eyes; I see the $20/night parking in reviews on many sites, now. No surprise the Westin doesn't advertise their parking fees considering the cost. I guess I'll research other options in the nearby area to see if I can cut that down. That seems pricey, but I'm from a much smaller city.
AaronJB Posted March 5, 2011 Report Posted March 5, 2011 Hopefully you'll be able to find a garage or alternate parking nearby. Unfortunately, high parking cost at hotels is becoming more and more common.
