Priceline Hotel: 5* Las Vegas (Strip South) Vdara

A bunch of friends and I are planning a trip to Vegas. They're on a tighter budget than my girlfriend and I so we were only going to accept a 4.5 star or higher. After negotiating directly with MGM Signature, Wynn, and Venetian we didn't get a price we liked. I had an offer for the same dates at Paris for 400 total, but felt I could get a 5 star for that Price.

Using the HOTWIRE link here I saw Vdara for 129 and wanted to try priceline to beat it.

I used the PRICELINE link here. Over 3 days I started at 80 was rejected, 90 was rejected (after adding strip north)

Day 2 went back to South Strip only at 100 and was rejected, tried 105 (adding strip north) was rejected again.

Today I used the PRICELINE link again, tried 110 and was rejected, then moved it up to 115 (adding strip north) and finally it was accepted. I was hesitant to use priceline over 110 as the Trump was 114 a few weeks ago and I was not interested in that hotel at this time, but I decided to risk it. Luckily I was able to get the hotel I wanted.

Now if I can get the 20 dollar trick to work and can avoid the Vdara death ray, I will be in good shape.

Thank you for all of the help on the forum. I have used the site in the past (Excalibur 40 a night, Dallas Springhill suites -80 a night) but have never posted.
