I'm new to Hotwire ... I've heard good stories, but I'm not a gambler by any means.

On Hotwire, I found a Boston Back Bay/Copley Square area hotel ... 3.5* for $104/nt

Amenities include:

Bed Choice ($109/nt for queen, $116 for two doubles, $112 for king)

Non-smoking

Fitness center

Swimming pool

Restaurant

Business center

High-speed Internet access

Rating is 95%

Travel dates are 8/3/11 to 8/6/11 ... Which hotel is it??

HOTWIRE is a good idea for a first step into discount hotels, as it's less opaque than PRICELINE.

The Hilton Back Bay and Sheraton Back Bay have both been reported with this amenity set; I'd lean towards the Sheraton, but it could be either.

Just booked last night for Aug. 3-6 at $110/nt for a king room.

Gives you choice of bed. Lowest was $102 ($107 queen)

First time using Hotwire ... won't be the last, especially because of this site, which really helped instill confidence in our "adventurous" purchase. We'll be using Hotwire in conjunction with this site. We've saved so much money ($239/nt direct through Sheraton). The other hotel we were looking at ... cheapest one we found in the area ... was $139/nt ... would have cost us $477 with tax ... and it was by no means a 3.5* hotel.

We're uber excited!
