Michelle01845 Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 Hello All,I'm new to bidding on priceline, and I've read all the info on this board, just wondering if anyone had any more advice on bidding for a 3.5* hotel in the Quincy Market/Financial District for the weekend of March 18 - 20th.The 2 3.5*'s listed are the Millenium or the Club Quarters. Prices on the main sites for those nights are $249 and $174 respectively. We're only two adults so don't really care about the bed and all that, but would love to get into the Millenium. Thanks for any help!Michelle
AaronJB Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)There is no way to ensure (or increase the odds of) getting a particular property when bidding. If you bid 3.5* (for example) in a zone, you have to be willing to accept any 3.5* in the zone and possibly get upgraded to 4* (if there is 4* in the zone.) If there is a hotel a user does not at all want to get in a particular zone at a particular rating, it is best to avoid that bid and look into what HOTWIRE is offering or look into another nearby zone. Although possible upgrades (which happen infrequently) are usually a good thing, sometimes they are not viewed as such depending on the hotel (sometimes people have avoided a particular 4* by bidding 3.5*, only to be upgraded to that 4*.)What would be your desired budget per night?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
