Paula K Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 My husband reserved a room at this hotel for us for $159 / night for king size bed. It was well over $600 for 4 nights. This is the historic Hotel Bethlehem on Main Street. I decided to try priceline. Only one area (East Allentown) has an option for a 3.5 * hotel. Looking at the map, I knew Hotel Bethlehem would be in the East Allentown area. (It's strange - what they call the Bethlehem area doesn't include downtown Bethlehem and is actually the area east of that.) Hotel Bethlehem was not documented anywhere on this site, but I took a chance. I tried East Allentown 3.5* for $80 and was rejected. Priceline came back offering me a one-time chance to raise my bid to $100 for the same dates and area. I instead bid $90 and it was accepted. I may have added another area, I don't remember, but it didn't matter because using better bidding techniques, I knew only East Allentown has 3.5 * hotel option. So $90 for four nights = $360 + $50.56 taxes and fees = $410.56 total. I did call the hotel the next day and found that my reservation was for a room with a queen bed. They kindly upgraded us to king-size for free. Please add this hotel to the pinned hotel list for Bethlehem/ Allentown. Thanks! :)
