Yep, first bid in the zone, first time using priceline.

Can I call the hotel to verify that the reservation has been made or do I only have the priceline print out to go off of? A friend of mine booked a room through another travel site, only to find that they cancelled her reservation when she arrived at the hotel. I just want to be sure.

Yes you can call the hotel to verify your reservation (they'll have it).

Still a good idea to bring your winning bid page to the hotel just in case... i always travel with confirmations of all my hotel stays, no matter how i booked.
