Wanted a 4* for a day trip to NYC. Started at $125, was immediately countered with offer of $160.

Refused to give up so added another region (after checking on an opened tab a region that had NO 4* so that I was essentially searching in the same area) and bid $130.

Offer was rejected.

Did the same again with adding region and offered $135.

Accepted!

Was just looking for a nice, centrally located hotel. Hopefully it will do the trick.
