stenied
Thanks for your response.I've seen Hawaii Prince in North fro $109 to $122 in May,June and Sept. Also Marriott in South at $125. Since I'd ventured to $130, I thought I would have gotten one of these. Is August any different? I didn't want to go above $130 for 4* North or South.I've been trying since Feb. with no luck but still have plenty of time.(I think)Would like your valued input. Link to comment
thereuare
Rates at the Prince are higher for the first 2 nites of your stay... whether that is affecting your acceptance we can't say unless you are willing to raise your bid or split your bid.If you want to split your bid you can retry your current strategy, trying 8/26-8/30 first. If you're willing to raise your bid to a $150 maximum, you start to increase the possibilities of the Marriott in the South zone.Let us know your thoughts. stenied
Really didn't want to split the bids even though that is a good idea.Gave in and bid $140 and got Hawaii Prince. Probably with a little more patience, I may have done a little better but overall I'm satisfied. I used the savingsbarn link to PRICELINE. Thanks for your help as I'm a little more educated to the process. Link to comment
thereuare
Congratulations on your win. Glad to see you received one of the preferred hotels in the area and not one that some wish to avoid.Sometimes being 'done with it' is worth the few extra dollars.Thank you for posting and for using the lnks at SavingsBarn.com to begin your bid.Enjoy your stay.
