paul_taylor Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 Stayed last week at the Paradise Point Resort in San Diego. I bid 4 star, I think $85. They raped me with a $25 per night parking charge. I paid $10 a night for internet. And the place is NOT a four star. 2 1/2 maybe. Rubber tile floors. Old, mildewy smell. It was not paradise. I'm going back to SD in two weeks. Is there a trick to avoid a certain hotel when you bid? I'm working in the La Jolla area, and it's a large area on Priceline (Coastal) that includes Paradise Point.
AaronJB Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Sorry to hear that you had a disappointing stay at the Paradise Point. There is no way to avoid a particular property when bidding. If you bid for a 4* in a particular zone, you have to be willing to accept any 4* in that zone. If you want to avoid a particular property in a zone, then it's best to avoid bidding for that star rating in that zone - and do keep in mind that you can be upgraded from a lower star rating to a higher star rating. HOTWIRE is the other best option to avoid a particular hotel. It would be greatly appreciated if you could post the details of the Paradise Pt. win (dates, price - the price can be confirmed under your trip information in your account). Unfortunately, parking rates are going up everywhere.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
