Hi, first time poster here. A friend and I are going to Orlando for Mari Gras in mid April, and are looking to stay close to the parks. We have stayed just down the road from them before, but the prices were kind of high. Any suggestions on where to stay? We would like one of the nicer hotels also, that usually run a little more, but without that huge price tag.

We are not looking for anything special, like certain amenaties, just a nice place where the staff is nice and the rooms are nice. One bedroom, two beds. We are only really going to be in the rooms to sleep.

Please help. Thanks!

Welcome to Betterbidding. :)

What are your date/s of travel? Additionally, which zones would work well for your travel plans and what would be your desired budget per night?

While Orlando is a little easier to request two beds than some other cities, PRICELINE only guarantees 1 bed/double occupancy. If you need a suite w/bedroom, then HOTWIRE would also be a better option, as you can look for a suite property.

Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

We are going from 4/15-4/17. And what do you mean area? We want to be off like Kirkmen just across the street. We are willing to spend 100 a night, but would like to spend less if possible. Tht was another questionof mine, which was better. Does hotwire do name your price like priceline?

I guess you're talking about the (Universal Orlando Resort Area - International Drive North) zone? Looka the PRICELINE map and confirm. And have in mind that you can't bid on a specific hotel when using PRICELINE. You have to be able to accept any hotel in the zone at the star rating (or higher) you select.

Please read this link: I've never used Priceline or Hotwire

If you're trying to target a specific property then HOTWIRE can often be a better option if you're successfully able to identify it based upon the star rating and amenities shown before your purchase... the trade-off is that HOTWIRE usually costs a little more than PRICELINE, so you need to decide what is most important to you for a given stay, the lowest possible price OR the ability to take an educated guess as to the property you may receive.

Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
