imq Posted February 25, 2011 Report Posted February 25, 2011 Hello, I'm new here! So glad I found this site! :)Two adults and one toddler staying in Orlando needing a cheap hotel for the last two nights of the trip. We want to stay close to Disney and would like to score a hotel with an in-room fridge (or kitchenette) without paying for condo/resort prices. Is that possible? Please help me ID this hotel.3* Lake Buena Vista (Downtown Disney) area hotel for $48 per night.Amenities listed were: PoolsRestaurantHigh Speed Internet AccessRecommended in 65 % of Hotwire customer reviewsI'm debating between this LBV hotel and another 3* Kissimmee area hotel for $49 per night.Amenities listed were:Complimentary breakfastFitness centerPoolsLaundry facilitiesHigh Speed Internet AccessRecommended in 90 % of Hotwire customer reviewsThere's also a 3* SeaWorld - I-drive South area hotel for $49 per night.Amenities listed were:PoolsRestaurantsBusiness CenterLaundry facilitiesHigh Speed Internet Access* No reviews reported for this hotel.Would like your thoughts and best guess as to which hotels these could be. Any of these will fit the bill (budget-wise) but I'm really hoping one of these will be a small inn & suites type of hotel (for the in-room refrigerator).I appreciate your help!!

This hotel is for our last two nights before heading home. Therefore I would be ok with just a small fridge as a minimum, if possible. Having a kitchenette would be a plus, but not requiered. Thank you for your reply. I look forward to reading what you will recommend!! Thank you in advance!!
yellowdog Posted February 25, 2011 Report Posted February 25, 2011 3* Kissimmee area hotel for $49 per night.Best guess would be Country Inn and Suites. And should meet your needs.I'll add the caveat that this HOTWIRE offering is showing a 3.5/5.0 Tripadvisor rating associated with this property, whereas the Country Inn and Suites currently showing a 3.5. The TA rating shown by HOTWIRE is not update in realtime (it's only updated about once a month) so it's possible that the rating has changed since HOTWIRE's last update. This does cast a shadow of doubt over this ID.3* SeaWorld - I-drive South area hotel for $49 per night. This got a 2.5/5 TA rating so i don't think you want to stay there.3* Lake Buena Vista No guessPlease use the site's HOTWIRE link, and let us know how it goes or if you need any additional help with your stay.Yellowdog.
imq Posted February 25, 2011 Author Report Posted February 25, 2011 Thank you for your detailed reply. I'm having a hard time locating the Country Inn and Suites in Trip Advisor. It's not coming up in the Kissimmee area. Am I doing something wrong? I wanted to check out some reviews. Thanks for your help!!

I'm still hoping other hotels in the Lake Buena Vista area become available as the date gets closer. I will most certainly us the HOTWIRE link and come back and report what I end up choosing. :) Thank you!

imq Posted February 27, 2011 Author Report Posted February 27, 2011 imqWhat is your max budget/night before tax/fee?Yellowdog.Ideally, I would like to spend around $50 (before tax) per night and stay in the Lake Buena Vista (Downtown Disney) area. I'm debating whether to go up to $60 and go for one of the condo's being offered for that price on those dates through Hotwire. 3* Lake Buena Vista - Downtown Disney area condo for $62Amenities: Condo, 1br, kitchen, free parking, a/c, fitness, pools, business center3.5* Lake Buena Vista - Downtown Disney area hotel for $69Amenities: fitness, pools, restaurant, business center, laundry facilities, high speed internetThere's also this one in Kissimmee:3* Kissimmee area condo for $60Amenitites: Condo, 2BR, kitchen, free parking, washer and dryer in room, children's activities, pools, front deskI'm so confused! All I want is a good night sleep in a decent & clean hotel room with a fridge to keep DD's milk chilled! I appreciate all your help!
yellowdog Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 I don't follow you here. You say that you want to spend max $50 in the LBV/DT area. And asking about Kissimmee and a place for $69?3* Lake Buena Vista - Downtown Disney area condo for $62I belive that you don't have listed all amenities for the hotel. If you go back to HOTWIRE and click the CONTINUE button next to this offering and then click the "See all amenities" link under the icons, do you see more amenities than what you've listed above? This goes for all hotels/condosPlease use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Yellowdog.
imq Posted March 1, 2011 Author Report Posted March 1, 2011 Hi Yellowdog!Thank you for being so patient with me!! I'm sorry if I confused you there for a minute. Yes, ideally I would like to stay in the $50 range for this stay. However, because I want/need a kitchenette (or small fridge at the very least), I was wondering if I should bump up the budget and get a condo instead... ? Any advice? Tonight, I'm looking at these two options in the $50 price range:3* Lake Buena Vista - Downtown Disney area hotelAmenities:Pool(s), Restaurant, High-Speed Internet AccessResort fee = $10/nightRecommended in 65% of Hotwire customer reviews2.5* Lake Buena Vista - Downtown Disney area hotelAmenitiesSmoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Laundry Facilities (self-service), High-Speed Internet Access No Resort Fee!Recommended in 85% of Hotwire customer reviewsAny thoughts? You need to decide if you need a kitchenette or fridge only. Go with a hotel if you only need a fridge. An easy fix to this problem is just buy a cheap cooler at Publix and fill it with ice from the hotels ice machine and your problem is solved :) Let us know. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Yellowdog.
