Gallus50 Posted February 24, 2011 Report Posted February 24, 2011 Way more than I wanted to spend, but this can be a difficult market for rentals. Started bidding on Sat 2/19 anywhere from $12 - $20 on a variety of cars. Retail rates jumped up to over $40, even for the smallest models. At one point on Sat, PL told me a good bid would be $18, a great bid $19. I went lower and didn't score. Then on Sunday, had to go to $28 for an economy car because I ran out of time. Sometimes, he who hesitates loses $$$.
AaronJB Posted February 25, 2011 Report Posted February 25, 2011 Congrats on your success. :)Sorry to hear that the result was more than you hoped to spend, but hope your rental/trip worked out well.Thank you for sharing your win and using the site's PRICELINE link.
Gallus50 Posted February 25, 2011 Author Report Posted February 25, 2011 Unfortunately, car wasn't for something fun like a trip. My car was in the shop. And they couldn't get a part until Thursday, so they told me to take my rental back. Hard to do when you've Pricelined.....: (
