mrsqueegy Posted February 19, 2011 Report Posted February 19, 2011 I had already won this hotel for my husband's trip to Madrid for March 25-27. It turned out they needed another day and the PRICELINE offer to "add another night" was rejected. So I continued to bid just on this zone in hopes of receiving the same hotel. I bid quite a few times up to $120. I noticed what was most likely the Melia on Hotwire for $143, so I figured before buying through Hotwire, I would take the chance a bid a bit below this price on Priceline(knowing I could get another hotel). My strategy worked and I won the Melia.Melia Madrid Princess - Around La CastellanaRoom Cost (avg. per room, per night): $131.00 (USD)Number of Rooms: 1Number of Nights: 1Room Subtotal: $131.00 (USD)Taxes and Fees: $20.34 (USD)Total Room Cost: $151.34 (USD)I used the PRICELINE link to begin my purchase.
