I was bidding for a 3.5* (hoping to get the Hilton) but I won the Renaissance. Not bad considering Motel 6 on Fremont Street (probably in the worst part of town) is charging $80 per night.

I understand you may have wanted the Hilton because it has a casino. But, I honestly feel like you dodged a bullet. The Renaissance is a steal for that price. It's a great hotel with comfortable rooms, a nice lobby and nice staff. The rooms at the Hilton are not half as nice.

There just happened to be some kind of soccer tourament in town and the Renaissance was filled with kids. Ordinarily I wouldn't care but the walls seemed pretty thin, I could hear running/sreaming kids most of the day/night. Hotels like the hilton are just built better, I guess they anticipate a certain noise level b/c I usually dont have that problem when I visit vegas and stay at the Casinos.
