So we settled at Hollywood, just a few miles south of Fort Lauderdale.The hotel is right in the downtown. The backdoor of the hotel actually goes into a bar on Hollywood Blvd. We could hear the music in the outside. The rooms are remodeled and quite nice. Most rooms have a fridge and a microwave.The hotel doesn't provide complimentary breakfast. Actually, no food facility at the premise at all. Parking is not free. It charges $3.95 per night for parking, which isn't too expensive. Street parking is 50 cents an hour, but is only free from midnight to 8am. A couple of blocks down is a parking deck, but we didn't check the price. The hotel has a nice pool, quite deep at 9 ft. But no one was swimming.
