TCR
Well, I just booked a hotel for Ocean City, MD (4/30/05 - 5/2/05). For $46 per night, I was lodged in the "Seabonay Motel". This is a 2* hotel according to Hotwire. We'll see. Link to comment

TCR
Well, I went ahead and let Hotwire make the booking. I'm lodged in the Seabonay Motel. Never heard of them and could not find anything about them on the net, short of their website. The photos look okay (although I would maybe rate it a one star). They do not have online booking, but list their rates through the end of April as $49 weekend ($39 weekday) and $74 for weekends in May ($39 weekdays), so I guess I did okay, but the savings are marginal over what I might have been able to negotiate myself with them. (On the other hand, if I'd made the booking myself, it would have been with a higher priced hotel, as I had never heard of this place until Hotwire set me down there.) For anyone who is interested, here is the hotel's website:http://ocmdhotels.com/seabonay/index.htmlAnybody ever stay here? I'll let the board knows how it goes. For two nights, I think I can survive regardless of what it may be like! :-) TCR Link to comment
TCR
The only amenity listed was a pool (somthing I have no interest in when I'm next to the ocean). TCR Link to comment
thereuare
Thanks for the follow-up so that we can now add this hotel to our lists!I think you have the right attitude for an opaque purchase... i too can handle almost anything for one or two nites. I'm interested to hear how this works out, as some beach area motels can get pretty gritty (although i'm mostly only familiar with those along the Jersey Shore). At the very least the location looks to be very good.Good Luck. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
