In March, I used Priceline twice. Now my master card statement indicated that for each PL transaction: beside the Priceline charges for the hotle, there is also an additional $9 charge by the BuyerAssurance? What's going on?

I remember seeing some $10 cash rebate certificate for the next Priceline purchase. But I don't recall there is a $9 charge by BA for this.

My wife just got off the phone with BA, after getting a FULL REFUND of 4 $9.00 charges. Apparently there is a check box on Priceline to receive a 10.00 coupon which also gets you into BA free for 7 days. After that they automatically deduct $9.00 per month, unless you contact them to cancel. She told them (BA) how deceptive their program is, and threatened to report them to the Texas Attorney General's office. The person receiving the call has apparently heard these complaints before, but was still a bit agitated, and got more "tough" as the conversation progressed. The BA accounts (2), one for each time we used Priceline, are now cancelled, and we should have our refund, full and complete, within 3 to 5 business days. Here's their contact Info.:
