My wife and I are heading to New York for the long weekend and are having a tough time deciding between several hotels. Based on the forum, I have some guesses for which hotels these are, but I wanted to see if anyone here had a recommendation as to (1) the best hotel on this list and (2) the cheapest parking options given the areas selected:

I wouldn't stay Downtown unless you have plans or reason to stay in this zone, so that would be off my list. As far as the others, they all get generally get mostly favorable reviews with a few negatives thrown in the mix (like most other NYC properties).

I might also avoid the Times Square property based upon the 80% recommended and possibility of it being the Millenium Broadway which is just a 'little tired' for me.

While it hasn't been identified, i would also consider the 3.5* ESB property with Boutique, Smoke Free, Fitness, Business, Internet for $157... while a half star lower, it has a very high 95% HOTWIRE user recommended rating and a 4.5/5.0 Tripadvisor rating.

If choosing between the others, i'd probably just bid on PRICELINE and take the least expensive 4* i could get.

Unfortunately i do not... but given the TA rating i wouldn't be too concerned about quality with this one, imo.

Congratulations on your success!

Hope you're pleased with the results and this property works well for your plans... the reviews are very good (as implied by the TA rating) and hopefully you enjoy the hotel.

Some quick (nothing fancy) suggestions near this hotel:

Jackson Hole Wyoming (Third Ave at 35th St) --> one of the best burgers in the city. Makes for a good (and filling) lunch or a casual dinner

Rio Grande (Third Ave between 37th and 38th St) --> great, but EXPENSIVE ($10/each) margaritas which pack a punch. Very good chips and salsa at the bar as well. They have a North Side and a South side so you can walk around the building and look inside each to see which side has more of what you're looking for (one side may be quiet while the other busy)

Thanks for sharing your win and helping us add this property to the Hotwire Hotel List.

Enjoy your stay.
