toddg19 Posted April 5, 2005 Report Posted April 5, 2005 I am new to this site but heard about it from someone else. I was told that I could find out what hotel I would get if I bid x amount of dollars through hotwire or priceline. Could someone let me know how exactly I could go about doing this?
thereuare Posted April 5, 2005 Report Posted April 5, 2005 Well that's not exactly the case... but you should start by posting the details of your stay (zone, dates, star level desired, expected budget, etc) in the state category of where you want to stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
toddg19 Posted April 6, 2005 Author Report Posted April 6, 2005 Any suggestions on how to get a particular hotel in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Looking for the Wyndham Condado Plaza Hotel and Casino for early 2006 or maybe April. Any help appreciated.
thereuare Posted April 6, 2005 Report Posted April 6, 2005 If you're dates aren't set then it's too early, but all you can do is check HOTWIRE regularly for a hotel rating and amenities which match the Condado Plaza.I'll add, however, that among the 'good' hotels, this is usually the least wanted. toddg19 Posted April 9, 2005 Author Report Posted April 9, 2005 Why do you think it is among the least wanted? I have stayed here twice so far. Once for two nights just a few weeks ago and once for a week. Everything was great although we tend to go out for dinner a lot. We have had nothing but good service, pools are really nice, has a beach...What more can you ask for?
thereuare Posted April 9, 2005 Report Posted April 9, 2005 It gets mixed reviews.I tend to think that most hotels in San Juan get mixed reviews... it's a very expensive hotel area and even though they're part of the US, it still operates very much on 'island time'... so service is generally not up to par to what people expect for the money they pay. This is applicable to all of San Juan, not just the Wyndham Condado Plaza.More specific to the Wyndham there are many different room types, some of which there have been complaints about. It's been 10+ years since i have stayed here so i don't have any recent firsthand experience. toddg19 Posted April 20, 2005 Author Report Posted April 20, 2005 Can someone tell me if this would match the Wyndham Condado Plaza for a stay from 2/18-2/25/06. It was 3 1/2 starsSelected amenities include: Oceanfront, Near Beach, Casino, Restaurant(s), Pool(s), Fitness Center, Spa Services, Golf Nearby. View complete amenity list and description
thereuare Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 I have merged all of your posts into the same thread.I believe the hotel you're describing above has more than the eight amenties you listed (as only 8 amenity icons will appear on the splash page). Please go back to HOTWIRE and do your seearch again, but once you see this property click the link "VIEW DETAILS and FULL LIST OF AMENTIES" (or something to that effect) and let us know all the amenties listed.
