keylimejet Posted February 13, 2011 Report Posted February 13, 2011 This was my first time trying Priceline and using betterbidding. I hung around reading for a couple of weeks, then jumped in. I got the 3.5 * Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Airport for $109/nt for the night of Feb. 5th. We live a couple of hours from the airport, had a really early flight out and a long day of travelling ahead, so I figured it would be easier to go down the night before and be close to the airport. I started bidding at about $59, but had no luck. At $99, I got a counter offer of about $125 (can't remember exactly). I passed on that, and tried one more time for $109, and got it. The rack rates for that night were $179, so not a bad deal. The hotel is gorgeous, the room was clean and well-appointed, and the beds were really comfortable. They do charge for parking ($12/dy) and for Wi-Fi in the rooms. We were able to use their computer and printer in the lobby business center for free, however, and print our boarding passes from there. It was convenient for what we needed.Use the PRICELINE link from this website!
