Melissa STL Posted February 13, 2011 Report Posted February 13, 2011 Over the last couple weeks I had tried bids from $35-$42 for 3 star for Collinsville-Fairview heights and had added Granite City trying to get the Doubletree in Collinsville which I had gotten for $42 last year. I hadn't gone over the $42 bid since I saw that someone got the Holiday Inn in Fairview Heights for $43 recently. I really wanted to be in Collinsville.I got an email about $5 per night bonus bucks from Priceline so I tried again and lowered my bid to $38 (+$5 bonus bucks) for a total bid of $43 per night and it was accepted at the Doubletree Collinsville where I was trying to get.
