Hotwire Hotel: 4* Las Vegas (Strip South) Mandalay Bay

Saw a 4-star hotel in the South Strip for $87 a night on the weekend of 2/24-2/27.

I studied this site as best I could and purchased it. I thought the most likely outcome would be the Monte Carlo, but it ended up being Mandalay Bay.

Mandalay Bay is listed as a 4.5 in the Hotwire Hotel List.

The description didn't match anything else I've seen. It was very close to Monte Carlo, but not exactly the same. Same goes for Mandalay Bay. Close but not a perfect match to the descriptions in the Hotwire Hotel List.

Anyhow, I'm sure we'll have a great time anyway.

Mandalay Bay is listed as a 4.5 in the Hotwire Hotel List.

Note that THEHotel at Mandalay Bay is in the hotel list at the 4.5* level... the Mandalay Bay is listed as a 4* property (they're in the same building but operate as two separate hotel properties)

I believe there was alos likely a SPA icon associated with this property which would not have been seen unless you clicked the 'See all' link during the check-out process. Can you please confirm if there is a also a SPA icon associated with this property when you purchased it... you can still view this information by going to HOTWIRE and clicking the MY ACCOUNT link near the top right of their home page.

My itinerary says "Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino" in those exact words.

If you think there was a SPA icon, then there probably was one. I'm pretty good when I post here about being detailed and accurate and I didn't list one. But when I open my itinerary that I saved in PDF format, there is "spa services" listed.

Unfortunately, I haven't registered for a HOTWIRE account. I've just used it twice so I couldn't retrieve my data. But, like I said, I saved a PDF of my reservation confirmation and it has spa services listed.

I just tried to repeat the same search and I don't the same deal anymore.
