mikachu Posted February 13, 2011 Report Posted February 13, 2011 i am new to this forum so i apologize if i am posting in the wrong area. i have been bidding on priceline for almost 3 weeks now and have had no luck. i am looking for 2 rooms for either a resort or 4* hotel for june 30-july 11 in waikiki beach. i have bid as high as $135 for resort and $120 for 4* using the rebid techniques recommended by your site. i am getting frustrated that i have not had any success. am i bidding too early? is it possible that there is no inventory for that time because of the holiday weekend? should i increase our bid even higher? (would prefer not doing that...i can see there was a win for the end of july for the sheraton for only $120) would we have more luck bidding on one room rather than 2? or do we just need to be patient? sorry for all the questions. hope you can help!!
yellowdog Posted February 13, 2011 Report Posted February 13, 2011 Welcome to BetterBidding :) Sorry to see that you don't hit anything.I don't think bidding at two rooms is the main issue. And we have seen many rejections for Hawaii when members bidding this "early". It might just be that the hotel don't have any PRICELINE inventory yet. The rates are not that high for your dates. Don't get frustrated, this when you start to overbid and strecth you maximum.Let us know if you would like a bidding strategy to maximize your bidding. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Yellowdog.

mikachu Posted February 14, 2011 Author Report Posted February 14, 2011 wow thank you so much for all of your assistance! is the parc the 3.5* on the hotwire search? we were wondering what the 4* hotel was for those dates...it is listed as $150. for now we will likely keep bidding on priceline. we understand that it is still almost 5 months away so we are willing to be patient for a better deal. thank you again for your prompt responses!
