benjr Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 I haven't been able to find any bids in these areas. Option is to either choose 1*/2*, I bid $45 and was rejected. Any one have some insight on these areas?

benjr Posted April 22, 2005 Author Report Posted April 22, 2005 2 rooms needed for May 6th, in either Oshawa or Whitby. Holiday Inn Express in Whitby webrate - $99 CADHoliday Inn Oshawa webrate - $105 CAD
thereuare Posted April 22, 2005 Report Posted April 22, 2005 Oshawa does have 3* hotels... did you select that zone as well when you had bid above? Is price more important than quality? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
benjr Posted April 22, 2005 Author Report Posted April 22, 2005 Oshawa does have 3* hotels... did you select that zone as well when you had bid above? Is price more important than quality? I'd rather stay somewhere decent than the poorly reviewed Comfort Inn thats there. I think the 3* would be the Holiday Inn, as I'm somewhat familiar with the area and there really isn't that many hotels to chose from.
thereuare Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 But did you choose Oshawa in your bid? It would seem as if you didn't if you were only able to bid up to 2 stars.HOTWIRE has a 2.5* for $88 with a pool icon which i would think (you may now better than i do) wouldn't be the Comfort Inn as i dont' see a pool listed as an amenity on their website. After hotwire's fee this would be more than the hotel's direct rate, but if you've never used hotwire before you can use code GIFTCARD06 to get $10 off each room, saving just a few dollars (but not sure if this is worth it or not). They also show a 2* hotel for $49/nite, using the same code above would bring your cost down to $39/nite, which even if it were the Comfort Inn you're trying to avoid, may be worth it at less than half the price of your alternatives. Please use this HOTWIRE link should you go with either of the above. If you still want to go with Priceline please let us know if you actually bid both zones above or only Whitby and we'll advise of a strategy to follow. If you choose to book direct please use our HOLIDAY INN or our HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS links to begin your purchase.
