Can anyone Id this hotel @$81/night?:

This Hotel features the following amenities:

Suite

Restaurant(s)

Complimentary Breakfast

Pool(s)

Fitness Center

High-Speed Internet Access

Laundry Facilities (self-service)

I am guessing that it is the Doubletree.

Thanks. I didn't realize that the Radisson was an all suite hotel.

I may try and pick this up for less $$$ on a Priceline bid this morning and if that doesn't work, fall back on the Hotwire rate.

My question is, if the hotel has a direct rate of $129 for this time period, what do you suggest my bidding bidding strategy be? I realize that there is no guarantee that I will end up with this property, but any 3 star will do if I can substantailly beat the $81 rate. The rate at the Doubletree is $95.00 and that is also listed as a 3 star in that zone.

Does the long length of stay (Sunday arrival) hurt my chances? Both HOTWIRE and EasyClickTravel seem to have plenty of availability for those dates. Thanks again.

Length of stay only plays a factor from the standpoint that the hotel needs to have rooms available to the opaque services, and low enough to be accepted your bid for each nite of your stay (see SHOULD I SPLIT MY PRICELINE BID for a further discussion)

In order to advise of a bidding strategy for you to try, if not successful today you only have one additional opportunity to try to bid again (after 72 hours)... would you be willing to not have a hotel reserved up until the day before your bid? (this will let us know if you really only have one shot at this today only). As well, are you willing to change hotels during your stay? (changing the dates of your stay will also give you additional bidding opportunities)

Let us know the above, as well as which priceline zone(s) within Boca Raton you'd consider and we'll advise of a strategy.

Thanks. My friend ended up going through Hotwire (I sent her your link. Hope she used it!) and it was the Hilton Suites....not the Radisson as previously thought. What threw me was the suite symbol. Had we really done our homework, we would have found out that Radisson has regular rooms too. Oh well. Suites were the preference even more-so than location, so $81/night for a Hilton Suite during spring break is more than fair. :)

Thanks for the update... the Radisson has actually been reported in the past with a Suite icon, so i think that when we see this combination it could be either property.

From this BOCA RATON RADISSON post:

So I took the plunge and the hotel that came up was.......the Radisson Suite Hotel! The icons were (in order): Suite, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness Center, Breakfast, Laundry
(internet was later added)

I'm sure your friend will be equally happy with the Hilton Suites for the price paid.

Thanks for the follow-up!
