Hello-

I'll be in Beijing from 4/14 to 4/17 and would like to try to bid for a 5* hotel using Priceline. Based on my research, I believe the max amount I should pay is $85. Do you think this is reasonable? Also, what approach should I take? Seems like, most people won the Crowne Plaza when they are selecting the Wangfujing St. Any ideas on if this hotel is any good? Or any other recommendations on a different area? I would like to be within walking distance of a night market if possible.

Thanks!

Welcome to BetterBidding!

Please start by reading your messages.

We don't see that much bidding in this area (it may be somewhat new to PRICELINE's name your own price service) so i don't think there are enough data points to say 'most people win' one hotel over another.

What is the best price you're able to find for a 5* hotel thru conventional booking channels? Is (Forbidden City - Tiananmen Square - Wangfujing) the only zone acceptable to you for this stay?

Thanks for replying, I think I'll go ahead and book Hotel Kapok using the traditional channel instead as it's priced in my budget and is in a good location.

I still need help with the other two locations, so any assistance you can provide will be most appreciated.

Thanks!
