Hey Guys and Gals,

Going to be in NYC on 2/24 for one night. I'm looking for a hotel right around Madison Square Garden or Mid-town walking distance to the Garden. Would like a 4 star hotel if possible. I need some bidding advice on Priceline.com. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Welcome to Betterbidding. :)

Please provide your desired zone (I'm guessing you are primarily looking at the MSG-Convention zone) and budget and we would be happy to offer suggestions.

Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

Yes.... I'm looking for the MSG-Convention zone or Empire State Building Area which is walking distance to the Garden. Budget is $140 with taxes included. Don't know how that fits in with those areas. Would like to be below that if possible. Thanks!!!!

There are no 4* hotels in PRICELINE's MSG zone so if you only want a 4* hotel you would only be bidding on the ESB zone... is 3.5* acceptable?

If you're goal is to be close to Madison Square Garden i'd recommend what i believe to be the Ramada Plaza New Yorker... gets pretty good reviews since the refurbishment about a year and a half ago, and for less than $90/nite, and is diagonally across from MSG.

Let us know if you think this would work for your needs or how you'd like to proceed.

Please click these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links before replying.

THANKS!

If you search HOTWIRE there is a 3.5* offered in the Chelsea-MSG zone for $83/nite (your price may differ by a few dollars) with Fitness, Restaurant, Internet... clicking CONTINUE you also may see a 4.0/5.0 Tripadvisor rating.

This description matches previous reports for the Ramada New Yorker and the Doubletree, so either of these are possible, but the New Yorker is won substantially more often, so that would be my best guess for this one.

Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.

Any question feel free to ask. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.
