SpookyReverb Posted February 11, 2011 Report Posted February 11, 2011 Was happy to learn I got this hotel for $55 (thanks to this forum!).I tried $40 first, and it was a no go, this was my first time using Priceline.Priceline suggested using $55 and that worked. Still a great price. After some online research, I found that you must pay $20/night for parking, which is a total bummer, but at least we'll be comfortable.

SpookyReverb Posted February 23, 2011 Author Report Posted February 23, 2011 Just a follow up on the Hilton Airport and Conference Center:Price: $55Taxes: ~$15Parking: ~$20----------------~$90The hotel was ok, clean and safe. The parking situation, while expensive, was covered and monitored (in and out with your room key).I asked for a room that looked toward the airport (I'm a bit of a plane spotter). The clerk/cashier said, "Ok, we can do that, I'm going to put you in this room..." When my wife and I got to our room, it not only didn't look out at the Airport, it was facing 180 degrees in the wrong direction. Kind of annoying, but oh well.If I would have paid the $199/night going rate for this hotel, I would have been disappointed in our room (view of a wall, dimly lit), however if you are using Sea-Tac, this hotel is an easy walk to the Terminal. The walk from the parking lot to our room was quite the haul. Not that big of a deal for us, but if you aren't a walker, you might want to pay the $6 extra to get the valet parking.
AaronJB Posted February 23, 2011 Report Posted February 23, 2011 Sorry to hear about the issues with this property :)Glad to hear that it at least worked out okay from a location standpoint, though.
SpookyReverb Posted February 23, 2011 Author Report Posted February 23, 2011 I don't want to make it seem like it was a bad experience. Especially for the price, it was good. The other hotels available for ~$50 (regular rate) in that area would have been a big downgrade (one hotel's page (can't recall which one) on Trip Advisor has user-submitted photos of bed bugs found at the hotel! Yikes!)The only real complaint from me was that the guy at the desk said one thing and did another (concerning the view of the airport). Other than that, it was pretty good.
