machfelon Posted February 11, 2011 Report Posted February 11, 2011 First let me start by saying I've used the links. When I purchase I will also use the link.Ive got three people in a room (wife and daughter) and none of the hotels seem to want to remove the surcharge for extra guest. So if I were to bid on say priceline I could still wind up with a HEFTY bill if they find out I have 3 people in the room.So now Im on Hotwire and of course adding the third person raises the rates. Need help identifying these properties. Thanks4-star hotel in Waikiki BeachThis hotel features the following amenities: Near Beach Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities High-speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby 75 % of people recommend. yellowdog Posted February 11, 2011 Report Posted February 11, 2011 Welcome to BetterBidding! So if I were to bid on say priceline I could still wind up with a HEFTY bill if they find out I have 3 people in the room.Yes you can. But you can also get a room with only one bed since this is the only bed configuration PRICELINE guaranties. Is this a risk you're willing to take? Please post your dates for your stay and we'll look at the HOTWIRE hotels.Thanx for using boards HOTWIRE and PRICELINE links :) Yellowdog.
machfelon Posted February 11, 2011 Author Report Posted February 11, 2011 The dates are March 5th (2011) - March 8th (2011) Sat - Tues (Sat, Sun. Mon nights)

thereuare Posted February 14, 2011 Report Posted February 14, 2011 You have nearly a month before your stay, and i don't think you use the links here as much as you think you do :)The Waikiki Beach property matches previous reports for the Waikiki Parc while the Diamond Head property has not yet been reported to the board. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
machfelon Posted February 15, 2011 Author Report Posted February 15, 2011 Ok first off I used the PRICELINE link.I was debating between trying my luck on hotwire but didnt like the price or choice on hotwire. Then I thought about getting an ocean front room at Aston Waikiki Circle for 629 booked with Aston. Hotel crappy but great views. So I tried my luck on Priceline. Tried 113 a night Waikiki Beach Area (Rejected), Tried 120 a night Waikiki Beach Area, City Centre (rejected), Tried 127 Diamond Head, City Centre, Beach Area (rejected), Tried 129 Beach Area, City Centre, Diamond Head, Marina (accepted) Marriot Waikiki Resort and Spa.Was really hoping for SHERATON WAIKIKI or OUTRIGGER WAIKIKI as a lot of people staying in Feb/March on here have recently gotten the Sheraton for under 130 a night. I think the Saturday night stay probably drove it a little higher. It was my last choice of the resorts category but its probably a lot better then the Waikiki Circle. :) Overall decent results.I'll probably try again for August in Las Vegas. I have 2 comped nights at The Mirage and 2 at the Palazzo so will need 2 more nights somewhere. Probably a good area to try priceline again.
yellowdog Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 Congratulations on your success!Thank you for sharing your win with the board and using our PRICELINE link to begin your bidding :) We hope you're satisfied with the outcome and will like the Marriott.Enjoy your stay.Yellowdog.
