Priceline Hotel: Help bidding for airport hotel in Melbourne, Australia

Hi there,

I am wondering whether you know if there are any ways to book hotels near the Melbourne Airport (in Australia) - there appears to also be a Melbourne in Florida.

I am looking for a one night stay for 1 person on 25 March and a one night stay for 2 people for 9 May.

When you type Melbourne PRICELINE will ask if it's Florida or Australia. Currently PRICELINE only has one zone for Melbourne at the moment.. this is City Center.

But HOTWIRE has an airport zone that you can use.

Is there anything within your budget at HOTWIRE?

Thanks for your reply. It seems that Hotwire only has the Hilton Hotel at $224 which is outside my price range. I was hoping for something $100 or so.

On the retail side of Priceline, there is an airport Best Western for $130 for your dates. A little better. Only a 2*, but I've found Best Westerns to be pretty reliable. I sifted it out of the 210 overall by asking for "airport" in the hotel name.

In the end, I booked a hotel through the travel agent instead to be able to guarantee proximity to the airport and without the hassle of trying to find it and being patient with bidding on priceline. THanks for your help.
