eastbeach Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 Looking to travel with 6 people to NYC, June 24-26th (Fri-Sun). on PRICELINE, I got accepted for a bid of $100 a night per room (2 rooms) for 4* NYC Times Sq. Thought this was really good and then got nervous. I had good luck a few years ago with the Sheraton Times Square. Worried about what other hotel I could get. Any thing I should be wary of at this location? Thanks.
thereuare Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 Welcome to BetterBidding! Please start by reading your messagesYour bid was probably not accepted... have you entered your credit card details yet? If not, you're just seeing the 'review' page where PRICELINE is asking you to confirm all the details (dates, star rating, bid amount, etc) of the bid you're about to submit, since all purchases are non-refundable.Also, note that PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy, after that it's at the discretion of the hotel, and you could receive a room with only one bed. While you can call the hotel you win and request a room with two beds, the hotel may not be able, or willing, to honor your request. Is this a risk you're willing to accept? If not, HOTWIRE may still be an option as they allow you to search for up to quad occupancy and ensure sleeping accommodations for everyone you include in your search (although this usually means two beds, the second 'bed' could be a sofabed, rollaway, etc)... or search for 3 rooms.Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
