Hi,

I'm new to the forum and I am looking to place a bid for a 5* hotel on the strip. I'm looking for 1 night on 2/19. My budget for 1 night is $150. I'm just wondering if trying for a 5* is out of the question and should I lower to a 4*. I also understand it is a holiday weekend and unsure about vacancies at the time. Any suggestions will be great.

Thanks

Especially with Las Vegas, I think one's first step should be to check the rates FOR YOUR DATE on the actual hotel web sites. They have specials all the time, and it is possible the specials are better than one can do via bidding. The first post in this Priceline - Nevada area has a list of hotels people have reported winning. There are links to a lot of the LV hotels under the Support/Travel Links tab above.

You also can check the Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins above to see if there are any reported bidding results for your date.
