Michael Yoyo Posted February 9, 2011 Report Posted February 9, 2011 $50 + $15.82 taxes and fees = $65.82I was denied a $45 bid two days ago. I looked into rezoning for immediate rebid, but priceline doesn't let me choose 3 stars and 5 stars. I can only choose "3 stars and up" in a radio button. There are several 3.5 and 4 star hotels in the same price range and those had bad reviews, so I only wanted a 3 star. All the other zones in Houston have 3 star hotels, so I guess I don't know how to effectively rezone for free bids.
thereuare Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 Welcome to BetterBidding!Congratulations on your success! Thank you for sharing your win with the board and helping us add this property to the Priceline Hotel List.I only wanted a 3 star. For future bidding note that the star rating you select is the minimum you are willing to accept... PRICELINE will always try to upgrade you to a higher rated hotel if possible. This is why when re-bidding you're not just looking for zones that don't have the star rating you're bidding, but zones that don't have the star rating or higher that you're bidding. All the other zones in Houston have 3 star hotels, so I guess I don't know how to effectively rezone for free bids. You can learn more about re-bidding here: Priceline Re-Bidding Explained At the 3* level in this area you have TEN re-bid zones... feel free to read the previous link and see if you can identify your re-bid zones and confirm them with the board OR let us know if you have any questions. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
