yellowdog Posted February 9, 2011 Report Posted February 9, 2011 Welcome to BetterBidding! If you would like to get help with a bidding strategy so please post your maximum budget per night, zone(s) you're willing to stay in and desired rating for the hotel.I assume you're trying to beat the HOTWIRE prices. How high did you bid yesterday, did you stop at $175?Thanx for using boards PRICELINE link :) Yellowdog.PS. We have moved your post to its own thread
Shorny Posted February 14, 2011 Author Report Posted February 14, 2011 Thanks for your reply. My stopped at $175 becasue I thought I would need to do more research given that someone has won 5* in Soho for $155 near around dates. My target area is;1. Mayfair - Soho, 2. Westminster3. Chelsea - Knightsbridge4. The City and London BridgeMy current target is 5* with maximum price of $175 per night. Although if this doesn't work, I would go down like to 4* with max of $110 per night.I want to hear if I am being just unrealistic or if I am just not doing it right...Thanks,
thereuare Posted February 14, 2011 Report Posted February 14, 2011 If you already bid up to your limit there is not much more than you can do other than:1) wait it out and try again2) lower your star rating3) increase your budget4) SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID (not a great option for a 3 nite stay)How long do you want to continue to try for a 5* up to $175 before lowering your star rating and trying for a 4*?Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
