Sharmz
Hi. I am a new user to this community and have never bid on Priceline so could use some advise. I am currently looking to book hotels for May 11th to the 14th. An area that is close to everything since we will be using public transportation. My range is up to $180 with taxes. Looking to stay in Midtown, central park, or times square. We will be traveling three people together. I know priceline does not let you pick number of people but Hotwire is showing prices that are much higher. I was wondering if you had any advise on ways I could bid to get a room for 3 people. Thanks. Link to comment
yellowdog
Welcome to BetterBidding!PRICELINE only guarante a room for two adults, that could mean one bed only. There's no way arround this. And NYC is (in)famous for small rooms. If you really need a room that sleeps 3 guests would i say that HOTWIRE is the better option for you. You can search up to a quad room at HOTWIRE.Sure, you can take a chance with PRICELINE but the hotel can say no to a room that sleeps 3 guests. And you can't request a room for 3 before you bid at PRICELINE. Is this a risk you're willing to take?Have a look at this priceline 3 people thread.Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll advise further.Yellowdog.Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
