charlestonemt Posted February 7, 2011 Report Share Posted February 7, 2011 Started bidding for 4* in French Quarter for same datesStarting bid - $68, increased incrementally by adding zones (over last 2 days) up to $82...no luckDropped star rating to 3.5* in French QuarterStarting bid - $50, increased incrementally by adding zones (over last 2 days) up to $73...still no luckStarted new bid...Downtown 4* 6/18 - 6/23Starting bid - $80 - rejected, but was offered to increase price to $100/night immediately - declined offerAdded French Quarter and increased to $82 - ACCEPTEDPrice/Night: $82Subtotal: $410Taxes & Fees: $75.10Total: $485.10So, by increasing my bid by $2/night, I may have ended up overpaying by $1 x 5 nights ($5) but I'm OK with that.Oh, and of course I used the PRICELINE link on this site for my purchase. It's not your typical hotel restaurant.Great restaurant run by two married chefs. Very good deal for a 3 course lunch @ $20. Link to comment
