charlestonemt Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 Started bidding for 4* in French Quarter for same datesStarting bid - $68, increased incrementally by adding zones (over last 2 days) up to $82...no luckDropped star rating to 3.5* in French QuarterStarting bid - $50, increased incrementally by adding zones (over last 2 days) up to $73...still no luckStarted new bid...Downtown 4* 6/18 - 6/23Starting bid - $80 - rejected, but was offered to increase price to $100/night immediately - declined offerAdded French Quarter and increased to $82 - ACCEPTEDPrice/Night: $82Subtotal: $410Taxes & Fees: $75.10Total: $485.10So, by increasing my bid by $2/night, I may have ended up overpaying by $1 x 5 nights ($5) but I'm OK with that.Oh, and of course I used the PRICELINE link on this site for my purchase.

LSU Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 Very nice hotel.If you have the opportunity you should check out the restaurant in the lobby."MiLa". It's not your typical hotel restaurant.Great restaurant run by two married chefs. Very good deal for a 3 course lunch @ $20.
