faithful96
This did not work out as planned, I kept trying and trying to get the 4* Hyatt Penn's Landing, starting with a bid of $45, $48, $51, $55, $60, $63 and $65. Over a period of a few days, there were no results. We eventually decided to downgrade to 3* and lucked out with the Marriott Downtown on the second try of $48, the first try was $45. The room is listed as $159 on the Marriott website. We bid the rooms 1 after another (not as a 3 room package), and everyone got the same deal:Check-In Date: Fri, Apr 22, 2005 Check-In Time: After 04:00 PM Check-Out Date: Sun, Apr 24, 2005 Check-Out Time: 12:00 PM Your Offer Price: $48.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Subtotal: $96.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $21.41 Total Charges: $117.41 Link to comment
thereuare
Congratulations on your win and thank you for sharing it with the rest of the board. It's really not recommended bidding separately when you need multiple rooms... we have seen more than a few times where users bidding simultaneously received different properties. :) Fortunately it worked out well for you and your group, but it's not recommended.Enjoy your stay. faithful96
Actually I was discussing this with friends yesterday...It's worked well for us in the past, but I know the time will come where we won't be as lucky. Fortunately this group would have been ok with different hotels. Link to comment
