AndrewF Posted February 4, 2011 Report Posted February 4, 2011 Hi,I am going to be traveling to London for the first time and would like to stay at a hotel that has easy access to most of the must see sites. Can you recommend which zone I should be looking at and what price I should be starting my bid at for a 5*?Reading through this forum I see that Mayfair, Bloomsbury, Westminster, and Kensington seem to be the zones of choice. Is that here I whould be looking to bid? Thanks in advance.
sabs Posted February 4, 2011 Report Posted February 4, 2011 We lived in london for 2 years and we are going back now to visit. In my humble opinion, Kensington is getting a bit too far. I worked in Knightsbridge which is close to there so you should look there if you're thinking of seeing Harrods or that end of Hyde Park. Otherwise stick to Mayfair, Bloomsbury, and Westminster. Covent garden is a very central area too but you can't pinpoint that on Priceline unfortunately. Some hotels there may be included under Bloomsbury. Good luck! Enjoy London!!!
AndrewF Posted February 5, 2011 Author Report Posted February 5, 2011 Thanks for the reply!Ok, I will focus on the three central zones.Does anybody have recommendations on starting bids for 5* hotels there?
