BlackCaesar
Hi All,Thank to the administrators for maintaining this board, and all of the contributors for your helpful posts. What a great resource! It is clear after doing some research that the only 3.5+ star rated hotel for the Princeville area of Kauai on Priceline is the Westin Princeville Ocean Villas. I noticed a post yesterday where someone had a winning bid for this property for $115/night for 2 nights. Also, we could clearly see it was the Westin being offered on Hotwire for $139/night yesterday for our desired dates: 6/18 - 6/22. Today the price is no longer a Hotwire "hot Rate," but a $326 rate offered through Hotels.com. This is the property we want, so we submitted a $120 bid on Priceline for a 3.5+ star property in the Princeville. This was rejected. We then submitted a bid for $140. Again we requested the Princeville area only and a 3.5 star or above property. That too was rejected. Any advice you have for booking this property for $120-$160 per night for 4 nights? Again, the dates we need are 6/18 - 6/22. Thanks! Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! When HOTWIRE shows a Hotels.com retail rate it means that they have no 'opaque' inventory available for your dates. There is not a direct correlation, but if HOTWIRE has no discounted inventory there is a good chance that PRICELINE does not either. I would continue to bid up to your maximum bid and/or continue to monitor HOTWIRE for this property a 3.5* property to appear 'opaque' once again. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Keep us updated on your progress and let us know if we can be of further help along the way.PS- please read your messages Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
