revoapparel Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 Hi everyone,I'll be in Boston attending an interview at Tufts University on Friday, February 4th and will need a hotel for 2 nights (February 3rd and 4th). I'm looking for a 3-3.5* hotel anywhere in Boston that's accessible via the subway and to and from the airport stop since I'll be flying in. This is my first time to Boston. My price limit is anything less than $100.00/night. Please help me with a bidding strategy.Second question is, apparently on Wednesday, there will be a snow storm. Will I get a refund if my flight is canceled? Thanks.
AaronJB Posted February 1, 2011 Report Posted February 1, 2011 While the situation will vary depending upon the extent of snow and flight delays, PRICELINE has been good in the past regarding weather-related cancellations. Please let us know the zones that would be acceptable/closest to your destination.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
thereuare Posted February 1, 2011 Report Posted February 1, 2011 Will I get a refund if my flight is canceled? While PRICELINE has often been sympathetic to weather related trip cancellations in the past, their official policy is "no refunds" and you can't expect that they will necessarily continue to deviate from their policy and grant any exceptions they may have in the past. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. thereuare Posted February 2, 2011 Report Posted February 2, 2011 Rates are not high for these dates and i think you should be able to get something nice within your budget. The most frequently bid zones are Copley-Theatre and Quincy Market-Faneuil Hall, both of which should put you in what is considered to be 'downtown'. Please look at each of these zones and confirm that you're both are acceptable. Then reply to this thread indicating whether you're willing to pay more for a 3.5* vs. a 3* OR if your goal is the least expensive 3* or better for this stay... we'll then suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. revoapparel Posted February 2, 2011 Author Report Posted February 2, 2011 Those bid zones are just fine, and I am willing to pay more for a 3.5*. Thanks for the help and I look forward to your response.
