I began the bid process via the PRICELINE link at the top of the page :)

Royal Plaza In Walt Disney World Resort

TripAdvisor has only 63% thumbs up for this hotel. I was honestly hoping for a different hotel, but we'll see how it goes. Reviews speak of resort fees, parking fees, charges for Internet, deceptive charges for breakfast. BUT, like I said, we'll see how it goes.

Sorry to see you were hoping for something different.. hopefully your stay will go better than some of the reviews.

Do keep in mind that many of the reviews come from those who are paying full price, and therefore they may expect more... i've had PRICELINE stays where i LOVED the property for the price paid, but at full price i would have had a different viewpoint.

Thank you for sharing your win and using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your bidding.

Hope you enjoy your stay and find it a good value for the price paid.

Royal Plaza In Walt Disney World Resort is nothing special. The Disney transportation is outstanding.

I can see where this might qualify as 3.5* hotel, based on the hotel as it was originally built. However, I now tend to think of it as more of a 2.5* hotel. Over the years, they have not fixed little problems with the hotel, and they are starting to add up. Was the room clean? Not really? Were the bathroom tiles in good shape? Not really? Did the drop ceilings in the hallway look dingy? Of course? Were any of us comfortable taking a shower there? Not really? Things were rusted and chipped and just not that clean. The fountain out by the pool is a perfect example. The water did not spray up out of the top of the fountain, it just leaked out from the bottom. I took pictures of everything to back up what I'm saying. Perhaps I'll write a more in-depth review when i get a chance.

Also, our general feeling was that they nickle and dime you for everything, from the ridiculous "resort fee" to parking to Internet access. Seriously, the gas stations and the McDonalds in the area offer free Wi-Fi. Having to pay for Internet in your room is a slap in the face. Stay away.
