nofrills Posted April 17, 2005 Author Report Posted April 17, 2005 Obviously I do not want to overbid. How high should I go? $75??
thereuare Posted April 18, 2005 Report Posted April 18, 2005 You have three re-bid zones when bidding 4* in this area, if you're not sure of your re-bid zones please read PRICELINE RE-BIDDING EXPLAINED and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones before bidding.Select 4* Vancouver...Bid $55, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $60, if rejected add re-bid zone2...Bid $66 (not a typo), if rjected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* Vancouver and re-bid zone3...Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $73, if rejected add re-bid zone2...Bid $75.Any questions feel free to ask.Good Luck and let us know how it goes. nofrills Posted April 22, 2005 Author Report Posted April 22, 2005 Bid vancouver downtown 4* 16th June one night $ 60 - Rejected - P/L Counter offer asked to add $17added Zone 1 - Bid $66 rejectedadded zone 2 - Bid $70 rejectedadded zone 3 - Bid $71 acceptedHyatt Regency Vancouver Tx Thereuare for your help. One clarification needed. P/L added $15.36 as taxes & service charges to my offer price of $71. As canadian do I pay GST/PST extra to the hotel?
Long Tall Sally Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 I don't think there will be any extra charges for tax at the hotel; everything should be included in the amount that PL pays the hotel. Americans don't pay GST (they can claim it back), so they get around it that way. PST should be included.I have never been charged extra for tax for a Canadian PL stay.

njg Posted June 7, 2005 Report Posted June 7, 2005 Select 4* Vancouver...Bid $55, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $60, if rejected add re-bid zone2...Bid $66 (not a typo), if rjected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* Vancouver and re-bid zone3...Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $73, if rejected add re-bid zone2...Bid $75.Any questions feel free to ask.Good Luck and let us know how it goes. So, Thereuare, am I correct in understanding from this that Priceline thinks it is a different bid if I begin over & include 2 zones right at the start because I began with only 1 zone on the first attempt? Thanks for your help.
thereuare Posted June 7, 2005 Report Posted June 7, 2005 It's not just that your bidding two zones, but bidding a combination that you have not yet attempted (either in part or in whole).
