OneDiaphanous Posted January 30, 2011 Report Posted January 30, 2011 Originally had hoped for Westminster, didn't want to go over $125 including tax and fees since I had a few alternate options at about $125-130 if none of my bids were successful. I didn't want to go below 4 stars, and I was open to a few other areas of Central London besides Westminster.Won this for next weekend using the following strategy:Bid $88 Westminster only- bid rejected.Bid $89 added City/London BridgeBid $90 added Mayfair/SohoBid $91 added Bloomsbury/Marble ArchBid $93 added Hammersmith as free rebid zone, and that worked. Total $119 w/ tax and fees. This Marriott's got some mixed reviews but at least there's no chance of winding up in a room with one double bed as opposed to a king or queen, as so often happens in London hotels. And yes, I clicked through to PRICELINE (and HOTWIRE for research) from links on here.
