furiousbadger Posted January 29, 2011 Report Posted January 29, 2011 4* Savannah (Historic District-Riverfront) Hyatt Regency, $75 01/29/11Opened my bidding with a $55 bid for a 3.5* hotel in the historic district which was rejected.I added the Savannah (Gateway) region with a bid of $60 which was rejected.I added the Savannah (North) region with a bid of $65 which was rejected.I added the Savannah (Midtown) region with a bid of $70 which was rejected.I added the Savannah (Airport) region with a bid of $75 which was acceptedAfter taxes and fees the total was $93.49.Not great, but it was a last minute booking and still slightly cheaper than a similar option on Hotwire. (And still better than the published rate of $179 on Hyatt's website.)I used the PRICELINE link to submit my bids.
thereuare Posted January 29, 2011 Report Posted January 29, 2011 Welcome to BetterBidding!Congratulations on your success! At less than half off the hotel direct price not sure why you label this as 'not great' as it appears to be a very nice deal for this nite, imo.Thank you for sharing your win and using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your bidding.Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
furiousbadger Posted February 9, 2011 Author Report Posted February 9, 2011 I've previously won PRICELINE bids for the same hotel for weekend stays for $65. Even though it's a great deal compared to the direct price, I always hate paying more than I did the last time.
