thereuare Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 These amenities are common in NYC and this matches a LOT of properties... the Flatotel, Sofitel, Helmsley Park Lane, Royalton, Park Central, Warwick and Sheraton New York have all been reported with this amenity combination, so any of these would be likely. Is there something in particular you're seeking from this stay, as i think you may be able to save a little with PRICELINE for these dates. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know whatever you decide and how it goes or if we cna be of further help with this stay. tduzon Posted January 31, 2011 Author Report Posted January 31, 2011 My Wife and I are traveling to New York for the first time, and are just looking for a nice hotel, in a nice convenient part of New York to base from.
thereuare Posted February 1, 2011 Report Posted February 1, 2011 Are you willing to give PRICELINE a try for a 4* hotel in the MTE, MTW, CPS, TS or ESB zones? (at the 4* level these all typically work well for the average user)If so, what you would be your maximum bid for this stay? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. tduzon Posted February 1, 2011 Author Report Posted February 1, 2011 I am certainly willing to use PRICELINE, as far a maximum bid goes I would love to stay around $200.00 a night + Tax.
thereuare Posted February 2, 2011 Report Posted February 2, 2011 You should be able to get something at the 4* level well under $200/nite.What i believe to be St Giles The Court is currently offered on HOTWIRE for ~$155/nite and for the most part gets pretty good reviews (recently converted to this hotel from a W hotel) If you're interested in trying for this hotel i would simply purchase on HOTWIRE and we'll give further details. If you're interested in 'rolling the dice' a bit for any 4* hotel at a lower price i would bid as follows:At the 4* level you have FIVE re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 4* MTE, MTW, ESB and TS...Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $105, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $115, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $120, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINESelect 4* CPS...Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $105, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $115, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $120, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINESelect 4* MTE, MTW, ESB, TS and CPS...Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $130, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $135, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $145, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $150Any questions feel free to ask. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes. tduzon Posted February 3, 2011 Author Report Posted February 3, 2011 So I tried PRICELINE got all the way to $150.00 and it said if I paid $190.00 I would get one. So I booked via HOTWIRE, I used your link, and booked the 4* I originally asked about (I didn't see the hotel for $155). The hotel I got is the Warwick New York for $158.00. Looked at there website, looks like a nice hotel. I will report back after our stay. Thanks for all the help.
