kojakny Posted April 16, 2005 Report Posted April 16, 2005 Bidding history was as follows:3* in Monterey - Pacific Grove $85 rejected- I started high since I saw that hotels in this area were already expensivestarted new bidResort in Marina - Seaside $95 rejectedadded Monterey - Pacific Grove at $110 rejectedReturned to first bid and had:3* in Monterey - Pacific Grove + Marina - Seaside @ $128 rejectedI know I could have waited 72 hours and retried the bid, but I caved in early and just used Marriott miles to pay for the hotel instead. If the area was not as expensive or the weekend was different, the dollar amounts would have been an awful strategy with jumps too high. Hopefully this will now serve as a starting point for people who want to try for this weekend.
