98t Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 Hi all,First post and I'm currently reading a lot about PL and HW. But, I'm just curious whether it's better to book via Hotels.com a hotel for 4 persons as I understood that hotels don't need to comply with your desire of a 4 person room. What do you think? Or is it possible to get 2 'cheap' rooms at one hotel?
AaronJB Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)PRICELINE does not guarantee two beds; it only guarantees 1 bed/double occupancy. HOTWIRE will allow users to search for up to four people, and ensures some form of bedding for the party - that is often two beds, but could also be 1 + sofabed or other option, depending on availability/policy.What would be your desired budget per night and star rating? Additionally, which zones would you be interested in?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
98t Posted January 28, 2011 Author Report Posted January 28, 2011 I currently saw prices of $120+ for a night for 4 persons. I think around $100 for 4 persons (1 room) or $140 for 2 rooms is affordable. I know it might be a bit difficult around Financial District/Downtown, but also around Cambridge is an option. Preferably close to the T.
thereuare Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 Note that (if using the opaque providers) there are some parts of the Cambridge zone which are not year a T station. For what star rating (and hotels) are the prices you're quoting above? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
