I need help with bidding on a 4* in Hollywood April 7-10. I figured I should start now since it's the weekend. I bid last night

Hollywood $95

Culver City $102

Redondo $103

Lawndale $104

with no luck.

I would really like to stay under $110. Should I split my stay up since it's the weekend? The rates are as follows now:

Roosevelt $298

W Hollywood $288

Renaissance $239

What should I do???

I did your nights one at a time on Hotwire - 4* Hollywood:

4/7 - 131

4/8 - 132

4/9 - 132

4/10 - 130

And all 4 days at once - 131.

This pretty much says there would be no advantage to splitting up your dates.

It also suggests your bidding is probably pretty close since generally one can do a little better via Priceline.

Are you staying 3 nights or 4? Wasn't sure since the range 4/7 - 4/10 can be interpreted either way. ??

If you are arriving very late and/or departing very early, the airport hotels are often quite a bit less expensive and can be convenient. A lower-priced night there could leave a little extra for the other nights.

Check-In April 7

Check-Out April 10

Sorry for the confusion. My flight is at normal times so I won't need a hotel closer to the airport. I didn't see that 4* Hollywood rate you were talking about on Hotwire. What bidding strategy can you give me?

I didn't see that 4* Hollywood rate you were talking about on Hotwire.

I just entered your dates and Hollywood, and clicked on the HOTWIRE link in the upper left hand corner here. If you previously checked Hotwire and didn't see it, it might be a new offering. They change all the time.
